Following customers through a funnel

Page opens, ratings and review link opens: where customers drop off and what to change.

3 min read

RepRocket counts each step a customer takes through a funnel, so you can see where customers drop off. There is nothing to set up: every funnel is counted from the moment it is shared.

The three steps

StepCounted when
Page openedA customer opens the funnel's page, by scanning the QR code or tapping the link
RatedThey leave a rating
Opened a review linkThey tap one of your review links

Each step is shown as a count and, where both counts cover the same days, as a share of the step before. For example, "62% of opens" under Rated.

Where to see it

  • Overview → From scan to review link, for the period, the location and the funnels in view.
  • Analytics → From scan to review link, and Review link opens by site to see which sites customers choose.
  • A funnel's Share tab, under Is it being seen: page opens, opens from the QR code, and ratings for that funnel.

Scans and links

A visit from the QR code is counted as a scan. A visit from the link is counted as a link. A QR card made in QR cards counts as a scan too. If most visits come from the link, your QR cards may not be where customers see them.

What is not counted

  • Published reviews. Opening a review link is not the same as publishing a review. What a customer does on Google, Yelp or Facebook is not visible to RepRocket. For your Google review count, see Showing your Google reviews for each location.
  • Reloads. A customer who reloads the page in the same browser tab is counted once.
  • Previews. The preview in Set up and on the Share tab saves nothing and is not counted.
  • Days before 13 October 2026. Page opens and review link opens have been counted since then. For a period that starts earlier, the counts are shown without a percentage.

No personal data is kept to count page opens. No IP address or browser details are stored.

Improving the numbers

Few page opens: customers are not seeing the code or the link.

  • Put the QR code where customers wait: at the counter, on the table, on the receipt.
  • Paste the link into the emails or texts you already send after a visit.
  • Ask staff to point the card out.

Many opens, few ratings: customers start but do not finish.

  • Keep the flow short. Remove steps you do not need in Set up → Questions.
  • Check the page on your own phone. It should load fast and read easily.

Many ratings, few review link opens: customers rate but do not go on.

  • Check that the funnel has review links, and that each one works.
  • Check where each thank-you screen shows the links: directly, or behind a button. See How a funnel routes customers by rating.
  • Keep the words above the links short and personal.
